Interfaith Hospitality Network
IHN is a non-profit organization of congregations that minister to the needs of homeless
women and families. The network provides shelter, sustenance, and support in caring settings while assisting its guests
in resolving their homelessness. IHN volunteers are part of a growing grassroots movement that brings congregations
together to help homeless families achieve independence and to work for permanent solutions. LRC serves
as a support congregation to the hosting congregation; Rockaway Reformed Church of Whitehouse (RRC). Our volunteers prepare meals and enjoy a family style sit-down dinner with the
IHN quests, their children, and RRC volunteers. We also provide financial assistance.
“Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter –
when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?” Isaiah58:7
