Please Join Us for "Neighbors Growing Together" At Lebanon Reformed
Church

Every Wednesday night since the beginning of July, members of Lebanon Reformed
Church "LRC" have been hosting Community Volleyball Night on their church grounds in Lebanon, NJ. The event
has been a tremendous success right from the start drawing up to forty people on any given Wednesday. "Neighbors Growing
Together" or "NGT" is not only for members of the church, but includes residents of Lebanon Borough as well
as many other surrounding communities.
NGT began as a way of reaching out to the community and extending
fellowship to all people regardless of religious affiliation, age, or race. Not only has everyone's volleyball
improved, but it has become a night that everyone now looks forward to. Each week teens arrive half an hour early, eagerly
waiting the usual start time of 6:30 pm. On some evenings we have had as many as nine people on each team and we normally
try to squeeze in three games before the sun goes down.
Community Volleyball Night has become so much more than
just a bunch of folks playing volleyball. Each week children as young as a year old play with other children of all
ages on the church lawn. Adults who are not interested in playing Volleyball come to sit and relax and talk with each
other as they watch the games. It truly has become a mid week night of fellowship and seems to help get everyone young
and old get over the hump of the week. What will we do when the weather gets cold you may ask? Well, LRC has plans
of continuing "Neighbors Growing Together" by moving it indoors - pretty smart, right? So whether you are
ready to play volleyball or just make a few new friends, please come out and join us Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm - 8:00pm
for fun and fellowship at Lebanon Reformed Church on the corner of Maple Street and Brunswick Avenue in Lebanon, NJ 08833.
